I’m Brewmaster Bruns, a Top 10,000 Amazon Reviewer. A simple guy who took his simple hobby of getting deals to a big extreme. When I started out, I looked around and arbitraged products on the internet that were obviously mistakes. When Amazon put up LG G4 phones for one cent, I was able to snag one.
Eventually, my method of making money (you can see my other post on how I did that) became more work than I wanted to put in for too little reward. So I turned to getting just free samples that were given out. These products were not as expensive, and usually were just sample sized products. Though it was not bad – everything was free, I couldn’t complain – I wanted something more out of my hobby.
One day, I found out how the top Amazon reviewers got their products at a discount. I discovered a way to get into the Amazon Reviewer clubs and I started to put in work. When I started, I had a fresh Amazon account. My review count was 3, and I had no idea how to write a decent review. With a little work, I cracked the code. Amazon reviewer rank is almost everything, so when you start in the millions you have little choice but to review stuff you don’t want. After a while, I got to be more selective. My skills in reviewing became more and more fleshed out. Today, a little over a year later, I have hit my goal of Amazon top 10,000 reviewers. Now that I am here, I can pick out some very good products and give good reviews on them.
Why do I tell you this? It is not to gloat. Anybody can put in the work and get where I am, and if you want me to, I will do my best to write a guide on how you too can improve your reviewing skills. I do it because I learned I like the process of reviewing. Taking new products and testing them. Who doesn’t love new things? I think that is a basic part of human nature. New is exciting. The problem is new costs money.
When you get good enough at reviewing and get a good rank, new no longer costs money. You can start reviewing most relatively inexpensive (<$50) for very cheap. This means that if you can find it, there is likely a seller who will take your review for it. With this, you can start figuring out what products you like, and what you really enjoy. I love RC cars and bug zappers. However, I would never buy these without testing them first, for fear that they don’t work well. With the power of reviewing, you can test these at a much lower cost.
So to answer the question. Who am I? I’m just a guy who’s a reviewer for fun. I’m a college student who likes new things. I’m a person with a hobby. And if you want to start reviewing, I’m the guy who can help you achieve your goals.
